The New Purse

When we left our friends on Saturday, before we drove back home we decided to stop at Old Navy and Chipotle. While we were at Old Navy Madison found a purse that she just loved and it was on sale so we got it. She has so much fun putting things in and out of it. Here is Madison all dressed and ready for church with her new purse.

A Day in Palms Springs

On Saturday, we went down the hill to Palm Springs and spent the day with our friends the Block Family. I have known Jamee for almost ten years now. We were in the same undergrad/credential program. Our husbands have known each other almost as long because of our friendship. Due to the craziness of life, it had been almost a year since we last saw Jamee and Nick, as well as their boys. It was so fun to catch up, have lunch, and let the kids play. Thank you for having us over Block Family!!!! We look forward to the next time we get to hang out and spend time together!

"Kid's Say the Darndest Things"

This sent to me in an email and I thought it was pretty funny. It makes for a good laugh and will brighten anyone's day. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Car Wash

The days here have been so beautiful lately that I decided to put Madison in a bathing suit and take her outside to wash the car. She LOVED it! She had so much fun running around washing the car and then spraying it off with the hose. She even had fun drying the car.

St. Patrick's Day

Well, I don't believe I have too much Irish in my blood and Alex doesn't at all, but nonetheless we have a little girl who everyone thinks is 100% Irish. Yesterday, that must have been the theme of the day because everyone who saw her always made some comment about how Irish she looked. Anyway, I had fun finding some cute stuff for Madison to wear on this very festive day of green. I wasn't very good at capturing her, but here is was I was able to snap.

Her shirt says: "Mommy's Lucky Charm"

Saturday BBQ

Since Emma and Jordan were out, we got our old TBS group back together: The Brewster's, The Bouchard's, us, and the Caro's. We had salad, twice baked potatoes, chicken and steak shish kabob, punch, and chips and black bean salsa. We had way more food than we could ever eat (in face we're still eating it), but it was soooo much fun. The last time we ALL were able to get together was Thanksgiving of 2007 and this will probably be the last time again for awhile with all of the boys deployment schedules. Thank you all for a wonderful time of food, friends, and fellowship.

Unfortunately, we remembered to pull our camera's out after the Brewster's had to leave.

Bistro 29

Friday night, our best friends Emma and Jordan came to visit. We always look forward to our visits with them. Well, a new restaurant opened here in Twentynine Palms, so we wanted to try it out, as it had been getting rave reviews. Diana was kind enough to watch Madison for us, so that we could go on a double date with Emma and Jordan.
From the time we got to Bistro 29 to the moment we left, I was impressed with everything about this quaint little place. The inside is very cute and very cozy. The food was amazing. The staff was very pleasant and very friendly. Even the bathrooms were beautiful. We will definitely be going back and recommending it to all of our friends out here.

Emma and Jordan, thanks for a wonderful evening. It has been so long since we have been able to have one of our traditional "Friday Night Dinners." We always enjoy our time with you guys, but this night was extra special. Thank you guys for your consistent friendship and for the way you challenge us to grow in the Lord as we walk along side each other. Your friendship is truly one of a kind and can never be replaced. We look forward to our next dinner and to our upcoming VEGAS trip!

My Little Chef

So, back in the day when I had my baby showers my sweet friend Stephanie Olsen bought me the cutest set of mommy and daughter aprons. Well, Madison is finally big enough to wear hers, so we busted them out. Madison helped me to make a pizza the other night. Here are some pictures of my little chef...Steph, thanks again for these darling aprons, which will make many memories for us.

Roxy and the Fish

So, like is said in the previous post, we won a fish at the carnival. Roxy loves the fish. We have to be careful where we keep it, so that it doesn't become lunch.

The Carnival

Here on base, there was a little carnival put on for all of the kids. They had a petting zoo, games, toys, slushies, cotton candy, a ferris wheel, and fish. We spent the day at the carnival and had fun watching the kids enjoy themselves. Several of our friends went to the carnival, but we stayed mostly with the Brewsters, so that our kids could play together!

Playing with Levi

Madison and Levi have become even better friends....they just love being around each other! It is amazing, that even at this young of an age, how strong their bond of friendship is. Here are some fun pictures of them at the park just playing away!

My Two Favorite People

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted! I have a few things to post about, but haven't had time. In the mean time here is a darling picture of my two favorite people from this weekend!
