First Day of Kindergarten

Today was Madison's first day of Kindergarten! She was so excited! She had a blast! She was very excited that she learned how to draw herself doing a headstand. (It's the little things right?!?)

She is so happy that she gets to go back tomorrow! She has already been asking me when her teacher will let her read. :) She is just so excited to grow in her reading skills. I am so impressed with what she can already do and how well she decodes words.

I have signed up to be the room mom for her class, so I am excited for that! It's fun being on the parent side of things, since I am use to being on the teacher side of things. We are looking forward to a wonderful kindergarten year!

Disney

We went to Disney yesterday and this was one of my favorite pictures of the day. I will post more later, but just wanted to work on being more consistent with posting on our family blog!

Cracking Eggs

Madison is really into helping me in the kitchen right now! This past Saturday Madison asked if she could learn to crack eggs with me, so here are the pictures of her learning! She is a natural...not a single shell in her bowl after cracking four eggs!

Newbreak All Church Beach BBQ

We went to our church's annual all church BBQ. We had a blast with our friends. We went with Brittney and her girls and their cousin and we also met up with the kids' babysitter Alexis! Here are a few pictures we snapped while there. Hudson LOVES the beach and is definitely a beach bum!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we did a few different things. Our cousin (on Alex's side), Dana, came out to visit for a little bit. Then, we had a BBQ with Brittney, Brynn, and Delaney. After we were finished with dinner we went to Santee to watch the fireworks. We had so much fun watching the kids all play together and then with great anticipation enjoy the fireworks!

Mission Beach/Alex's Birthday

For Alex's birthday, we went to Mission Beach with my parents (who had never been before). We ate at Mr. Roberto's Tacos (our favorite little taco shop at Mission Beach) and then we walked the boardwalk and bought ice cream and shaved ice! It was a beautiful day and I was so blessed to be there with my family. Alex, I love you so much and hope that this birthday was only a start of all the fun wonderful adventures we'll go on this upcoming year!
