On Saturday, Jaclyn was able to come over for a little bit and meet Hudson for the first time. Madison and Hudson had a blast with Auntie Jaclyn.
I had fun visiting with her as well! It was so great to see her, since it had been since Christmas! It was a welcomed visit and she was able to be in sunny California and miss IRENE as it passed through New York!
We love you Jaclyn and can't wait to see you again during the Thanksgiving holiday!
While being in the military allows you to make a lot of fun friends, it also causes you to have to say "until next time" to several friends as well.
Last night we had our good friends the Sumption's over for a final dinner before their big move to Virginia. We had a dinner full of appetizers and good conversation. We were able to pray over our dear friends and wish them well in their next chapter in this beautiful life. We always enjoyed ever minute of our time with Bill and Kristin and we will miss them dearly.
(I was a knucklehead and didn't take that many pictures at dinner, but we remembered to sneak a picture of Kristin and I once dinner was over and we snapped a quick picture of the kids walking together on the way to another play date).
This past year of knowing Kristin and her family has truly touched me. Kristin, you are one of the sweetest people I know and I can only hope that our paths will cross again some day. I pray that your move and transition to a new "home" goes smoothly and that you make a lot of wonderful new friends. Every day, when I look at the beautiful quilt you made for Hudson, I will be praying for you and your family!
I know that we'll keep in touch and be life long friends; that's the neat things about not only being friends, but being sisters in Christ...we have a bond that is hard to break! I love you friend and look forward to hearing how everything goes.
So until next time....sending love and hugs sweet friend!
On Sunday, my father-in-law and brother-in-law brought their new puppy, Bubba to our house for a visit. He was one day shy of 8 weeks old when we met him. He is mostly labrador with a little bit of golden in him. He's super cute!
Madison had so much fun meeting him and playing with him. They played all over the backyard and then Madison also walked him on his leash down to the park to play for a bit.
This was such a fun visit. Mike, my brother-in-law, met Hudson for the first time since he'd been born. It was so fun seeing Mike hold him and play with Hudson.
Madison was enamored with Uncle Mike. They chased each other, they ran all over just being silly, they went on the swings, and they even did the slide together! Madison had sooo much fun playing with Uncle Mike and hasn't stopped talking about him and how much fun the two of them had.
My mother-in-law was unable to make it out due to a work commitment. She was missed! She would have loved to see all of the interaction between Bubba and Madison and Mike and Madison. Hopefully, she'll be able to see them all together soon! In spite of her not being there, Hudson wore the onesie that his "Oma" made him at one of my showers.
I love to get up early and work out. It starts my day off with energy while giving me peace and quiet as well as time to myself to talk with God. I am married to a wonderful man with whom we have a beautiful daughter and a dashing son! Life can't get much better than this!!
